About Willowcot Cottage
A charming, single storey semi-detached cottage offering very comfortable accommodation for couples at any time of year. Well appointed throughout and stylishly furnished, the lounge/diner is a delightful retreat and the log burning stove is ideal for those chillier evenings. The pretty, walled patio garden and sun room offer areas to enjoy sunny evenings or an alfresco meal after the day’s activities. Set in a quiet hamlet in the National Park, 1.25 miles from Little Haven’s picturesque cove, which is perfect for swimming and sailing, sample the choice of pubs and restaurants clustering round this sandy inlet. There are many more sandy beaches only a short drive away. Ideally located, enjoy water sports at Dale and Broad Haven and then refresh in one of their waterside pubs serving excellent food. The area is a mecca for birdwatchers and a trip round or to Skomer Island from Martins Haven to see the puffins and other birdlife will be a highlight of any holiday or just spend your days on the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path marvelling at Pembrokeshire's stunning coastline. Willowcot Cottage is highly recommended for couples to escape to, whatever the season.

Approached from narrow country lanes heading up from Little Haven, Willowcot Cottage is located at the rear side of Willowcot, as the main house and cottage face in opposite directions, with the guest’s walkway being only used by the cottage. Willowcot Cottage is accessed through a small wooden gate, the catch to which is at waist height on the outside (road-side). The car park area is just off the road by this wooden fence, and is gravelled. Gravelled path for approximately 20 metres to main entrance. Main entrance is accessed by a small slate step approximately 5ins high, and over two foot wide, then an approximately 4ins step to inside the sun room. Once in sun room, there is a 4ins small slate step and then 3ins to threshold. Inside cottage is all on one level from there on, with smooth hard floors. Guests are usually met by owner within 2 hours of arrival (unless guests arrive at night or if the owners are away on holiday). Should guests wish to have help in with luggage - arrangements can be made in advance. Garden areas lie to the west of the sunroom; there is a small lawned garden with some stepping stone flags, and on the same level a paved guests patio within the walled garden, with garden furniture. On one side of this patio is an approximately 3ins drop to a 1 metre wide concrete path under the cottage window. Willowcot Cottage is all on one floor, with lounge, double room, kitchen and shower room/whb/wc. All doors are standard width 800mm. Kitchen has worktops to 3 sides, with low level oven. Lounge is well lit with 4 floor/table lamps and natural light from the sunroom. The double room is well lit with 4 floor/table lamps and natural light from windows to 2 aspects. Shower room is well lit with main centre lighting, additional illuminating mirror and also a sun-tunnel roof light to roof. Kitchen is well lit with 2 halogen spotlights and also a velux for natural lighting. Sun Room is very well lit (being fully glazed) is very warm and also has extra lighting and radiator (from central heating) for in winter. TV and other entertainment equipment have remote controls. External lighting is provided by large outside lamp to corner of garden outside wall - switch is inside the cottage in the lounge behind the door curtain. Extra outside lighting can be made available on request by lights to the guest's walkway operated from the main house. Guide Dogs welcome.

We have just had another amazing week in our favourite place. We've been coming here for many years, but this has been the first time we have stayed here in Willowcot, and what a find! It is cosy, comfortable, everything we needed and more. We have done a great walk from here down to the coast path and down to Little Haven. Also, we went to see Wally the Walrus down in Tenby. St Davids is always a treat to go to. We do recommend Runway Skiln for lunch at Marloes beach, Sand and Stone burgers on the beach at Broad Haven is perfect too!

St Brides Bay church and cover is a pretty place to visit and have a picnic and not too far! Skomer island is a must as the puffins are nesting now, but get to the booking office early as the queue is very long, particularly if the weather is fine. Dramatic rocks at Marloes sands, a long walk up and down but worth it! Fabulous walking on coastal path - not too steep! a lovely week.

We arrived to a warm welcome, plus milk to make a nice cup of tea (even towels were kindly provided). The superb weather during the week meant that we visited lots of beaches - all of them wonderful. In the evening, sitting in the garden we felt we had found our own little Eden. Inside all was very cosy and relaxing, while at the same time, clean, efficient and functional. We were happy to have found this lovely cottage and will always remember its sense of peace and beauty.
